If you are like me then you have watched the political landscape of our country deteriorate year after year. Trust eroded, millions – even billions being spent on negative campaigns, pork-belly projects, irrational spending, politicking, playing sides, manipulation, etc. Our elected officials seem to be more focused on their own self-preservation than doing what is right for you and I, for our country and those they are supposed to serve. The system is broken.
That’s why I am so excited about today!
It’s the official launch day of HUMBLE for President, an initiative that we believe is, in part, a solution to the current mess.
You see, we’ve gotten away from the most important essence of effective leadership… Humility.
We need to bring Humility back to how we lead and make it the core. We need leaders who are for others, not just for themselves. We need leaders who will rise up and lead with integrity, honor and trust. We need leaders who care more about the cause than the applause.
And this isn’t just a presidential or political issue… HUMBLE for President is a campaign asking every president (from companies to divisional leaders to the US President) to focus on Humility as the lead virtue. HUMBLE for President is a movement of people who desire to see a different style of leadership.
We are, in essence, allowing the national presidential election to be our platform to remind every leader that if we desire humility-based leadership at the highest levels then we must have it at every level. That is the foundation of the campaign.
