Growth is a positive word. You rarely hear people think negative about the concept of growth, especially in the business world. In this day and age most people long for the growth years of the past. So let me give you a perspective to think about.

Revenue growth is directly tied to the growth of your leaders and your people.

If you want to grow your organization it is imperative to grow your people and if you want to grow your people then you need to work on growing your organization. Here is why:

  1. Great people want to work in growing organizations filled with opportunity.
  2. When a company is growing there are more leadership options for them.
  3. Conversely, a growing organization needs qualified leaders to maintain the momentum and growth.
  4. The perception of a business is directly tied to the quality of the individuals within the organization.

Therefore, business growth is tied to leader growth and leader growth is tied to business growth.

If you want to grow your organization are you investing in your leaders? That is a simple question. If I asked your leaders, what would they say? If you want to grow your leaders are you showing that you are doing what it takes to grow the organization? Great leaders want to be winners.

Don’t separate business growth from leader development or leader development from business growth.
